Frankie Avrit Obituary

Funeral services for Frankie Avrit, 91, of Royse City will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2024, at First Pentecostal Church of Pittsburg, (184 Wilson Road /County Road 4120) with Dr. Lisa Avrit officiating.  Interment to follow in Macedonia Cemetery in Camp County. Mrs. Avrit passed away, Saturday, July 20, 2024, in Wylie, Texas.

Frankie Avrit, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted servant of faith, passed away peacefully at the age of 91.  Born on June 16, 1933, in Borger, Texas, she was the youngest child in a large and loving family, the cherished daughter of Minnie Lee and Frank Hess.

At 19, Frankie met and married her Navy husband, John Avrit, and they began a lifelong journey of love and adventure. Their daughter, Vicki, was born on their first wedding anniversary, marking the beginning of their growing family. After John's Navy service, the couple moved throughout the western United States, eventually welcoming two sons, John Avrit II (Bubba) and Donald, into their family years later.

Frankie worked diligently as an office specialist and in various service roles, but her true passion and focus were always her family and her faith. She dedicated her life to serving those she loved, providing unwavering support, love, and guidance.

Frankie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Avrit; her parents, Minnie Lee and Frank Hess; and all of her siblings.

Frankie is survived by her daughter, Vicki; her son John (Bubba) and his wife Lisa; and her son Donald and his wife Jane. Frankie was the proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and their spouses: Jenny, Bailie, Seth, Jacob, Brianna, Zachary, and Hannah.  Her greatest joy were her five great-grandchildren, Jack, Ivy, Grant, Josiah, and Haven. She was looking forward to meeting her newest great-grandson this fall.

Pallbearers will be Seth Avrit, Jacob Avrit, Brandon Antwiler, Zachary Avrit, Josh White, Sebastian Durand, Dylan Siciliano, and Jack Baldwin.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Grant Avrit and Josiah Siciliano.

Her legacy of love, devotion, and faith will continue to inspire all who knew her. As we remember her, we find comfort in the words of Jesus: "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)

Visitation will be from 10:15 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the First Pentecostal Church of Pittsburg to service time.
