Elizabeth Josephine "Jo" (Quillin) Peek

Mrs. Elizabeth Josephine “Jo” Quillin Peek, age 93, of Pittsburg, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022 in Tyler. She was born February 3, 1929 to Joe Guy Quillin and Mary Kate Rose Quillin in Camp County.  

She was a member of the First Baptist Church and an Eastern Star.  

She is survived by her sons, Don Peek of Pittsburg, and Roger Peek and wife Gretta of Pittsburg; daughter, Barbara Ann Peek Young and husband Ron of Pittsburg; grandchildren, Lisa Reeder, Kim Vann, Angela Saucier, Amy Kennington, Dustin Peek, Nick Peek, Karli Miller, Kamri Biggerstaff; great-grandchildren, Preston Reeder, Reagan Reeder, Katie Reeder, Allison Vann, Blake Vann, Ty Hammonds, Abby Hammonds, Payton Richardson, Chloe Rosegrant, Nathan Lyon, Kaiden Peek, Haley Peek, Aubriella Peek, Arianna Peek, Sienna Peek, Huxley Miller, Hagan Miller, Haddie Jo Miller, Hallie Dean Miller, Barrett Biggerstaff, Bennett Biggerstaff, and Beckett Bigerstaff; great-great-grandchildren, Kinzler Richardson and Kate Richardson.  

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Horace E. Peek; son, Bob Peek; grandson, Robert Edward Peek; daughter-in-law, Debbie Peek; and siblings, Alton Morris, Ray Kimbell, Fay Hatfield, and Eunice Rice.  

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg with interment to follow in Ebenezer Cemetery in Pittsburg. Bro. Tim Parker will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Danny Howell, Josh Biggerstaff, Brian Miller, Dillon Richardson, Dustin Rosegrant, and Harold Kennington. Honorary Pallbearers are Ron Young and Johnny French. There will be a visitation held between 2:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
