Doris Shaw (Blankenship) Ray

Mrs. Doris Shaw Ray, 70, of Pittsburg passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026 at her home. She was born May 17, 1955 to Elmer and Ethel Young Blankenship in Pittsburg.

Doris was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Mount Vernon.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Ray; son, Jason Anderton; grandchildren, Ben Anderton, Lainie Anderton, Brianna Williams; great-grandchildren, Zenson Anderton, Kennedy Anderton, Brilee Anderton, Hadlee Anderton, Winter Rain Williams; brother, Johnny Blankenship and wife Vivian, and sisters, Shirley Sampson, Laura Hawthorne, Pasty Whitehead and husband Al, and Wanda Curry and husband James; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents, Elmer and Ethel Young Blankenship; brothers, Jerry Blankenship, Royce Blankenship, Wayne Blankenship, Rickey Blankenship, Leroy Blankenship; and her sisters, Mary Smith, Peggy Reniewicki, and Rebecca Nip.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 6, 2026 at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg with Bro. Tom Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Camp County. There will be a visitation held before the service beginning at 1:00 P.M.
