Derek Anthony Roberts

Derek Anthony Roberts, 53, of Pittsburg, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024, in a Tyler hospital surrounded by family.  A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home.

Derek was born February 26, 1971, in Dallas to William Lewis and Donna Kaye Brewer Roberts.  He was a retired equipment operator, and a dedicated outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He spent most of his time on the lake or cooking for family.

He is survived by his son, Brenden Roberts of Caddo Mills; daughter, Hailey Mendel and husband, Casey of Rockwall; sister, Jaimi Deere; stepsister, Melissa Wisdom; mother, Donna Andersen; and stepfather, Glenn Andersen.

Derek is preceded in death by his father, William Lewis Roberts.

No formal visitation is scheduled.
