Delores Jo Daily Albright, age 83, of Pittsburg, Texas, passed away on October 9, 2024, at 11:15 p.m. in Pittsburg, Texas. She was born on November 26, 1940, in Pittsburg, TX, to Henry Durwood “Duddy” and Willie Mae Davis Daily.
Delores was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She grew up on a farm, spending her early years picking cotton, peas, and pecans. Later in life, she became a mother and served in various roles within her church. Delores was part of the ‘Singing Mothers’ in Shreveport, LA, and continued to sing in her local church choir, often sharing how singing contributed to her health and well-being. She attended college alongside her daughter and became a professional potter. In her spare time, Delores was passionate about genealogy research and spent countless hours tracing her family’s roots.
She was deeply devoted to her family, loved them dearly, and had a special bond with the farm where she was born, which she later inherited. She displayed a natural talent for caring for animals (both wildlife and pets), gardening, crochet, sewing, and canning. Delores found great joy in sharing her talents with others and became her daughter’s “North Star” by always staying focused and centered.
In addition to her parents, Henry Durwood “Duddy” and Willie Mae Davis Daily, Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Moses Albright; her brother, Bobby Gene Daily; and her granddaughter, Kaila Marie Sullivan.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Sheri Sullivan. Grandchildren Jared and wife Lori Sullivan. Brittany and husband Dr.Sean Porter. Great-Grandchildren Kaden Senter, Kaiya Porter, Jayden Sullivan, Kennedy Porter, Elizabeth Sullivan and Kipdon Porter.
