David William Barrett, 59, of Pittsburg, was born October 18, 1963 in Newport, Rhode Island, to James Milton Barrett and Nancy Joyce Moore Barrett and passed away on December 24, 2022 in Tyler, Texas.
Mr. Barrett was a registered nurse and a member of the Daingerfield Church of Christ. David also served his country in the United States Coast Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Sharissa Lea Barrett of Pittsburg, Tx.; son, Tyler Barrett and his wife Reigan of Dallas, Tx.; daughters, Ashley Gibbons and her husband Jacob of Longview, Tx., and Madison Barrett of Lubbock, Tx.; grandchildren, Abram. Liam, and his granddaughter that will be born in May; brothers, Rick Barrett and his wife Cheree of Ferris, Tx., Chris Barrett and his wife Mary of Baytown, Tx., and Steve Barrett and his wife Valorie of Oak Leaf, Tx.; sister, Cindy Reynolds and her husband Richard of Harlingen, Tx. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother. Mark Barrett; nephews, James Barrett and Ryan Reynolds and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sharon and Jack Lea.
Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 30, 2022 at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Farmers Academy Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, Tx. Services will be officiated by Tim Gibbs and pallbearers will be Jake Davis, Corey Yarbrough, Kuber Yogi, Joe Powers, Reese Hargrove, and Damon Gray. The family will receive friends between 5:00-7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
