Funeral services for David Harold Tutt, 70, of Gilmer will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 22, 2026, at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg with Sister Tammy Nelson officiating. Private family interment to follow at Dalby Springs Cemetery in Dekalb, Texas. There will be a visitation held before the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Tutt passed away, Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at his residence surrounded by family.
Mr. Tutt was born on November 19, 1955, in DeKalb, TX to K.C. and Opal Lena Whitecotton Tutt. He was a lifetime Logger, member of the Texas Logging Council, certified CDL Truck Driver, and a member of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Tutt; son, Rodney Briggs; daughters, Tammy Nelson and husband, Ricky of Antlers, OK, and Stacey Tutt and husband, John of Gilmer; sister, Helen Inman of Dallas; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mr. Tutt is preceded in death by his son, Kibby Briggs; brother, Jo Ed Tutt; sisters, Joyce Abney and Patsy Tutt; and parents, K.C. and Opal Tutt.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Luke, Eli, Bradley, Alex, Tristen, Cash, Lance, John, Sam, and Kelley.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, May 22, 2026.
