David Whatley Emery

Memorial service for David Whatley Emery, 39, of Pittsburg, will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 3, 2022, at First Baptist Church with Bro. Joel Davis and Rev. Uriah Oxford officiating.  David passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022, in Bogata, Texas.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home.

David was born December 12, 1982, in Pittsburg to Mark David and Debbie Kay Whatley Emery.  He was the Executive Director of the Camp County Service Industries and was a baptized and confirmed Christian at Saint William Laud.  He regularly attended First Baptist Church and was a member of the Gilbert Sunday School Class.

He is survived by his sons, Landon David Lawrence and Jude Atley Opperman; daughter, Lillie Jo Lawrence; sister, Jamie Freeman McKinney and husband, Jason; nephews, Alex, Add, Ace, and Arrow; and niece, Allie; aunt Becky and uncle Randy Stuard; uncles, Brock Whatley, Matt Emery and wife, Denise; cousins, Gracie and Charlie Whatley, Mandy Stuard Sawyer, Daniel and Randy Stuard, Jack, Sarah and Katie Emery.

David is preceded in death by his brother, Brannan Emery, his grandparents, Shirley and L.M. Whatley, Jr. and Don and Elizabeth Emery.
