Obituary
Carroll Eugene Robinson, 93, of Pittsburg was born July 10, 1930 in Pittsburg to Elbert Robinson and Velma Rumsey Robinson and passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, August 20, 2023.
He was a member of Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church, served in the Unites States Army, retired from Lone Star Steel, and has continued to farm later in his life.
He is survived by his sons, Jerry Robinson of Pittsburg and Donald Robinson of Pittsburg; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Larry Copeland of Pittsburg; granddaughter, Amy Bynum; great-grandchildren, Kaden Proffitt, Kenley Proffitt, Kember Cunningham, Mailey Bynum, and Allison Bynum; great-great-grandchildren, Kolt Brian Amburn and Kash Taylor Amburn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mildred McCaslin Robinson, grandson, David Bynum, sisters, Inez Peters and Charlene Seale; brother, Verlon Robinson.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. August 22, 2023 at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Lafayette Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Daniel Anderson will be officiating and Corey Hudnall, Carl Cravey, Jackie Seale, Kaden Proffitt, Charlie, and Larry Copeland will serve as pallbearers.
