Billy Ray Wright

Memorial service for Billy Ray Wright, 74, of Leesburg, will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Newsome Baptist Church.  Mr. Wright passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023, at his residence. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Wright was born December 20, 1948, in Sulphur Springs to Billy Don and Lena Gladen Huie Wright.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy, a retired Dairy Farmer, and a member of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Wright; daughters, Kimberly Allred and husband, Thomas, and Kelly Poag and husband, Shawn; grandchildren, James Ray Wright, Daniel Lynn Allred, Matthew Allred, Damien Dollins, Kallie Skow, Summer Wright, and Miranda Poag; great-grandchildren, Jasmine Wright, Nathan Belcher, Harper Allred, and Nico Wright; and daughter-in-law, Pandora Wright.

Mr. Wright is preceded in death by his son Nicky Ron Wright; grandchildren, Courtney Wright, and Maranda Skow; and parents.

No formal visitation is scheduled.
