Barbara Watson Griffith

Funeral services for Barbara Watson Griffith 73, of Pittsburg, will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Shawn Findley and Bro. Ricky Knight officiating.  Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home.  Mrs. Griffith passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Griffith was born August 29, 1949, in Livingston to Murphy Everest and Billie Jean Williams Watson.  She retired from the Children’s Nutrition Program at Pittsburg Independent School District in 2014. She was also a homemaker and pastor’s wife for 50 years. She was a member of Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Griffith is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Gary Griffith; daughters, Karen Jones and husband, John, Carol Cutler and husband, Danny, Rachel Findley and husband, Shawn, and Ronda Cook and husband, Brandon; grandchildren, Lauren Davis, Lance Jones and Ashley, Logan Jones, Vernon Cutler and wife, Leslie, Casey Cutler, JC Thompson and wife, Callie, Sarah Duck and husband, Aaron, Brittany Truelove and husband, Dylan, Michael Findley, Ty Findley, Wyatt Braden and Cohen Chandler; brother, Murphy Watson and wife, Sabina of Lake Jackson, Tx.; sister, Deborah Keown of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Murphy and Billy Jean Watson and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dan and Floy Griffith.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
